Nikola has been Co-Founder and CEO of Span since its establishment in 1993. An engineer by profession, he identifies opportunities for improvement and growth in everything he does, with a strong ability to anticipate emerging global technology trends. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) at the University of Zagreb in 2002. Nikola's business philosophy is straightforward: believe in what you do, embrace social responsibility, support others, and strive to give more back to the community than you take from it. From the very beginning, he recognized the importance of investing in people and their skills. As a result, Span employees today can develop their expertise by working with cutting-edge technologies and applying that knowledge to effectively solve customers' business challenges. Nikola has also been responsible for Span's expansion beyond Croatia and was the driving force behind Span's partnership with Microsoft, which has positioned the company among Microsoft's largest partners in the region. He led the team that successfully executed Span's initial public offering (IPO), including the implementation of an employee share ownership program (ESOP), resulting in Span's shares being officially listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange in 2021. Thanks to his vision, leadership, and dedication, Span has grown into an international company operating through its affiliated entities across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
