Mario Carini has served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of Generali osiguranje d.d. since 2019. He joined the Generali Group in 2003 in Trieste and has since held a number of senior management positions in Italy, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. His previous responsibilities included leading Generali’s corporate business across Central and Eastern Europe and overseeing Global Corporate & Commercial and Reinsurance activities for the Austria, Central and Eastern Europe and Russia region. He graduated in Economics from the University of Pisa and the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and completed an International Executive MBA at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
