The world in which children are growing up is changing faster than ever before, while schools still largely rely on methods designed for a different time. The role of the school of the future is not only to pass on knowledge, but to develop the ability to think, make connections, generate new ideas, and solve problems. If the world we are preparing children for is changing, then the priorities of education must change too.
Ranko Rajović is the founder of the Department of Neuroscience in Education at the Faculty of Education, University of Primorska in Koper. He is the author of the NTC Learning System, which is implemented in more than 20 countries worldwide and has been accredited by the ministries of education in seven countries. He is an expert for the European Handball Federation (EHF) in the field of neuroscience in sport and the author of more than 20 books, manuals, and educational games designed to support the holistic development of children. He is the founder of Mensa Serbia and served for many years as a member and Chair of the International Mensa Gifted Youth Committee.
