Nebojša Vitez graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, in 2004.

After graduation, he began working as a trainee at the County Court in Varaždin from April 2005 to September 2007, including a one-year internship at the Municipal Court in Varaždin.

Since September 2007, he has been working at the law firm Porobija & Špoljarić, first as a legal associate and, from October 2014, as a licensed attorney. In 2016 and 2017, he also served as a legal advisor for Croatian clients’ loan placements at a former Austrian bank, during which time he lived in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee.

Upon returning to Croatia, he resumed his work as an attorney at Porobija & Špoljarić and has been a partner at the firm since 2022.

That same year, he became a licensed mediator, registered with the Centre for Peaceful Dispute Resolution.

He is a member of the Croatian Association for Civil Law Sciences and Practice and has been publishing professional articles in its annual journal since 2018. He has also been a contributor to the legal magazine “Informator” since 2019.

Together with Dr. Romina Štaba and Suzana Cesarec Nöthig, in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Economy, he held lectures on “Construction Projects – Legal Support from Land Preparation to Construction and Final Use/Sale.” He also conducts interactive workshops on mediation and other methods of peaceful dispute resolution with Dr. Romina Štaba.

He is a lecturer at both the Croatian Bar Association and the Croatian Notary Chamber.

Nebojša is the author of over 25 professional articles (currently 27, with the 28th undergoing proofreading), written independently or in co-authorship with Dr. Romina Štaba, many of which are officially categorized and published by the legal publisher “Organizator.”

In his free time, he is completing a C2-level German language course and indulges in his passion for constantly remodeling his house near Varaždin — much to the dismay of his family. He’s also a fan of Scandinavian crime novels and developed his interest in law through John Grisham’s books. Currently, he’s immersed in the works of Haruki Murakami.
