Academician Bojan Jerbić is professor emeritus at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FSB) of the University of Zagreb. He received his doctorate on the subject of artificial intelligence at FSB in 1993. In his scientific research and professional work, Bojan Jerbić focused on the development of computer methods in engineering and artificial intelligence methods in robotics. For the last fifteen years, he has been working on research and development of robotic applications in medicine.

He is the founder of the Chair for Autonomous Systems and Computational Intelligence and the Regional Center of Excellence for Robotic Technologies (CRTA) together with the laboratories for Autonomous Systems, Computational Intelligence and Medical Robotics. He was the head or partner of more than 30 national and international research and development projects, many of which saw their application in practice.
