Goran Šaravanja has been following economic developments in the world, Croatia, and the wider region for over 20 years. In his extensive career, which includes work in public administration in Australia and Croatia, banking, manufacturing, and private entrepreneurship, Goran held positions such as Chief Economist at Zagrebačka Bank and INA before becoming the Chief Economist of the Croatian Chamber of Economy in June 2022.
He regularly appears in the media in Croatia and abroad as a commentator on economic trends in Croatia and Southeast Europe. He graduated in 1995 with a degree in Macroeconomics and German Language and Literature from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and has been living in Croatia since 1999.
